Runoff Election Results for County Judge

The Republican nominee for Fayette County judge was decided in the Runoff Election on Tuesday, May 24. Dan Mueller with 2,713 votes was the winner over Craig Moreau with 2,169 votes. The incumbent Fayette County judge, Joe Weber, chose not to seek re-election.

Horror of war recounted at Memorial Day Service

This year’s Memorial Day Service at Wolters Park included a special dedication and the harrowing experience of Army Ranger Pat Lyons. Contractor selected for EMS Station 4 building

The Fayette County Commissioners Court selected a contractor for the new EMS Station 4 building in Schulenburg at its meeting on Thursday, May 26. The bid was awarded to Otto Construction of College Station for $596,875 after the recommendation of EMS Director Josh Vandever.

Unemployment rate decreases 0.1 percent statewide & in Fayette County

Antosh, Sommer earn top honors in SHS Class of 2022

With the highest grade-point average among nine honor graduates in Schulenburg High School’s Class of 2022, Claire Antosh has earned valedictorian honors. Jordan Sommer had the secondhighest GPA to be named salutatorian.
