Two injured in three-vehicle mishap

An accident Saturday at the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Summit Street involved three vehicles and resulted in two individuals going to the hospital.

Ballot by Mail application revised

The Application for a Ballot by Mail has been revised by the Texas Secretary of State, according to Fayette County Elections Administrator Terri Hefner. Voters who want to vote by mail must use this new application to request a ballot by mail.

New voter registration cards mailed

New voter registration cards are being mailed to all active registered voters in Fayette County, according to Elections Administrator Terri Hefner. The new voter cards are blue and voters should review their cards to make sure the information is correct.

Photo exhibit to open at ARTS at the Old Stanzel

Time and the rhythm of life are captured in the exhibition “Lasting Impressions” featured at ARTS at the Old Stanzel, opening this Saturday, Jan. 8 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The artwork of five photographers will be on exhibit in the show at the newly-opened gallery located in Schulenburg.

Martha Tauch celebrates 105th birthday

Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center resident Martha Tauch was honored by the facility with a cake and corsage on her 105th birthday last Thursday, Dec. 30. She then celebrated with family and friends outside the nursing home, which is located on College Street.
