Adding technology aimed at improving communications with citizens was proposed to the Schulenburg City Council at its regular meeting Monday, Dec. 6. City Secretary Mason Florus said he was approached by Utah-based firm TextMyGov in November about “smart-texting.”

The St. Rose of Lima Catholic School family donated 374 pounds of non-perishable food to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry, and 11 Thanksgiving food baskets to the Family Crisis Center, at the school’s annual Thanksgiving Mass held on Thursday, Nov. 18.
