Judge Weber addresses hospitalization rates & Fayette County

Fayette County Judge Joe Weber issued the following press release late afternoon on Tuesday, Jan. 12: Fayette County has been notified that, due to the high hospitalization rate in its trauma service area, elective surgeries and other conditions included in Gov. Abbott’s GA-32 may not be allowed.

Cocaine seized during traffic stop on I-10

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office Narcotics K-9 Unit seized 5.65 kilos of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 10 about four miles west of Schulenburg on Tuesday, Dec. 29, according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
