Importance of ‘Warn Central Texas’ explained by officials

A cut fiber cable created difficulties for both Fayette and Lee counties on Tuesday, Dec. 1, disrupting 911 dispatching capabilities for both jurisdictions. Bastrop County’s Communication Center managed emergency calls for all three counties for approximately 3 hours until the cable was repaired.

‘Parents As Teachers’ holds first art contest

The Schulenburg/Weimar area Parents As Teachers (PAT) program recently held its first art contest to recognize parents as their child’s first and most important teacher. Children were asked to create a picture of themselves and the grown-up(s) in their life that they feel fills this role.
