Hearing on tax abatement for ‘solar ranch’ postponed again

The Fayette County Commissioners Court reset the public hearing date to consider and potentially enter into a tax abatement agreement with 7V Solar Ranch, LLC during its meeting on Thursday, June 25. The public hearing is now scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6 at 9 a.m.

State unemployment rate decreases last month but most counties in area see increase in May

In May, Texas saw a decrease in the state unemployment rate to 13.0 percent from 13.5 percent in April, according to the latest labor statistics from the Texas Workforce Commission.
