Traffic stop by SPD on I-10 leads to drug arrest

A stop on Interstate 10 by the Schulenburg Police Department on Monday, Sept. 22 led to the arrest of a subject from SanAntonio.According to the SPD report, officers pulled over a 2009 Mercedes-Benz C300 for multiple traffic offenses at approximately 12:31 a.m. near mile marker 672 westbound.

The seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate in Texas rose 0.1 percent to 4.1 percent last month, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.Many area rates (not seasonally adjusted) increased more significantly from July. Colorado County saw a jump of 0.7 percent and Austin County’s rate went up 0.

In a press release last Thursday, the Fayette County Judge’s Office announced a burn ban for Fayette County effective Sept. 11.At the regular Commissioners Court meeting that day, an Order was signed by County Judge Dan Mueller restricting outdoor burning.
