Assessment of buildings presented to City Council

The firm PGAL provided an analysis of two City buildings, including space needs, staffing projections, and costs estimates, at the regular meeting of the Schulenburg City Council on Monday, June 2.

No decision made on request to encroach on City easement

After taking no action on a request to encroach on a City easement Monday night, the Schulenburg City Council will revisit the agenda item at its June 16 meeting.City Secretary Mason Florus said construction of a fence at 206 Matula had started before the encroachment was discovered.

Hoog returning as head boys’ basketball coach

Following last week’s Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees meeting, during which Richard Hoogendoorn said “it would be a miracle of God if you restore me but I believe in miracles,” the longtime coach was reinstated to head up the boys’basketball program for the 2025-26 school year.
