More opposition to City Hall move heard by Council

For the second straight meeting, the Schulenburg City Council had a crowd in attendance at its chambers on Monday, May 19 with speakers voicing their opposition to a proposal to move City Hall from downtown.

Public objections to the reassignment of Richard Hoogendoorn have been widespread on social media over the past couple of weeks and about 20 were on hand at Monday night’s Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees meeting to support the long-time teacher/coach.

Kunschick, Deagen earn top grad honors in class of 2025

Schulenburg ISD announced its top two graduates for the Schulenburg High School class of 2025 last week.With the highest grade-point average for her four years in high school Madison Kunschick earned valedictorian honors. She is the daughter of David and Michelle Kunschick.

Back-to-back doubles by the Shorthorns in the top of the first inning plated the only run in last Friday’s Class 2A Division I Region IV semifinal at Seguin High School.
