Noting the lack of bookings since the newly-remodeled Civic Center reopened last fall, the Schulenburg City Council approved lower rental rates at its meeting last week.Alderman Roger Moellenberndt requested that the item be placed on the agenda.

Schulenburg ISD will be adding two Ford Expeditions to its transportation fleet after action by the Board of Trustees at its meeting last week.Business Manager Lee Hartsell said that the district’s state funding for Career and Technical Education increased from about $500,000 to $1.

On the evening of Tuesday, May 19, Fayette County Sheriff’s Department deputies received a report of a property owner locating a male subject trespassing inside a residential construction site.The location was given as the 1300 block of Knape Road, about 12 miles north of Schulenburg off Highway 77.
