Two replats approved by City Council

Two requests to replat properties for business ventures received approval from the Schulenburg City Council at its regular meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 18.Tina Bohlmann, chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission, reported on both before the unanimous vote.

Sheriff issues report on recent phone scam

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek issued a press release on Thursday, Feb. 20 reporting that his department has, once again, received several reports of phone scams.Someone has been calling citizens of Fayette County claiming to represent the Sheriff’s Department.

Shooting woes sink Lady Horns in area playoff loss to Danbury

Forcing 33 turnovers on defense wasn’t enough to get the Lady Horns past the second round of the playoffs last Friday, Feb. 14 in El Campo.Along with losing the ball over 20 times, Schulenburg made only 16 of 62 shots from the field in a 49-43 loss to Danbury.
