On June 26, Schulenburg CityAdministrator Tami Walker stated in a press release that “due to unforeseen circumstances and the potential health hazards, City Hall will be moving to a temporary location for the foreseeable future.

The City of Schulenburg would like to remind residential and commercial garbage customers about the curbside collection guidelines for its toters, which have been in use since October 2019.The guidelines are:• Please make sure the toter is out by 6 a.m.

Over 150 packed the District Courtroom in La Grange and several locals expressed their opposition to the proposed Apex Clean Energy Mustang Wind turbine farm in Fayette County at the regular meeting of the Commissioners Court on Thursday, June 27.

State unemployment stays 4.0 percent in May, area rates increase slightly

The statewide seasonallyadjusted unemployment rate remained at 4.0 percent from April to May, equal to the national unemployment rate, according to the Texas Workforce Commission.Fayette and eight surrounding counties all saw slight upticks in their rates (not seasonally adjusted) last month.
