Use of grant funds by Sheriff’s Dept. questioned before 3-2 vote to approve

Thumann gets award for largest cocaine bust at Gulf Coast HIDTA conference

Drug Interdiction Sgt. Randy Thumann of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office received the award for the largest cocaine seizure in 2023 – a haul of 220 pounds – at the annual Blue Lightning Operations Center Gulf Coast HIDTA conference in Biloxi, Miss. on April 16, according to Sheriff Keith Korenek.
