The Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a proclamation declaring April 28 to May 5 as Soil and Water Stewardship Week in Fayette County at its regular meeting on Thursday, April 25. Members of the Fayette County Soil and Water Conservation District were on hand for the proclamation signing.

Larry Tidwell ‘coming home’ after acclaimed college coaching career

While not a Schulenburg native, Larry Tidwell has said he considers the town “home” and that his time at Schulenburg ISD were “the best eight years” of his life.

Tax abatement for energy storage plan proceeds

At its meeting held on Thursday, April 25, the Fayette County Commissioners Court accepted an application for tax abatement and an application fee from Staccato Storage, LLC in accordance with the tax abatement guidelines adopted by Fayette County on Nov. 9, 2023.

Council gets update on Civic Center

Plans to renovate the interior of the Civic Center started in the summer of 2022 and, after legal snags stalled the process, they are moving forward once again.
