Farmers Co-Op Stockholders’ Meeting The Schulenburg Farmers Co-op annual stockholders’ meeting will be held on Thursday, March 12 at the Schulenburg KC Hall. A social at 6:30 p.m. and meal at 7 p.m. will be followed by the meeting.

The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry served 135 families in February with a total of 423 individuals. The Pantry had four new clients with 14 individuals in those families. The amount of food given out was 7,268 pounds. Food donated was 2,366 pounds. Volunteer hours were 314.

‘Wings of Their Own’ set at Stanzel Museum

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum is partnering with Fayette County Community Theatre to present a special living history performance, “Wings of Their Own: Influential Women in Aviation.
Among the activities planned for Spring Break on the Bluff at Kreische Brewery and Monument Hill State Historic Sites are (left photo) young visitors can get creative with hands-on crafts; (center photo) on Wednesday, March 11, guests can try their hand at historic games and pastimes; and (right photo) the popular ice cream social on Friday, March 13 allows visitors to make batches of homemade ice cream.

Fayette County 100 Years Ago – Part II By Fayette County Historical CommissionThe following article is Part II of a series regarding events that occurred in Fayette County 100 years ago.
The lunch-and-learn program in Schulenburg on Monday, Feb. 23 was presented by Josh Vandever. It was nice to learn about his role and responsibilities as the EMS director and how that reflects on his ability to fulfill the Fayette County judge position for which he is running. He also talked about his role in the Fourth of July flood in the Kerrville area.
