Literary Club recognizes scholarship recipients

The Schulenburg Literary Club wrapped up its year of meetings and activities with a fiesta on Tuesday, May 12 at Lucy Tequila’s Restaurant.Members and guests enjoyed a brief social time before dining on their selected menu entrees.

Forty attend Hermann Sons Life meeting May 13

Forty members and guests were in attendance at the Hermann Sons Life Lodge 14-2 meeting on May 13 at Oakridge Restaurant in Schulenburg.The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by president Ed Moeller, with the U.S. and Texas pledges following.

Fayette 4-H’ers participate in Spring Spectacular

Thirteen Fayette County 4-H members participated in the District 11 4-H Spring Spectacular on May 5 and 6 in Victoria. Events included Public Speaking, Educational Presentation, 4-H Has Talent and Consumer Decision Making.

Master Gardeners slate Kids’ Kamp June 10-12

Bluebonnet Master Gardeners, in conjunction with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension team, announce their ninth year of holding Kids’Kamp in Fayette County.Kamp will run from Wednesday, June 10 through Friday, June 12 at the Fayette County Agricultural Building, 225 Svoboda Lane, Room 104, La Grange.
