Friends of Weimar Library set Open Mic Poetry Night

This April, Friends of the Weimar Public Library celebrates its fifth observance of National Poetry Month, welcoming people of all ages and backgrounds to engage in poetry in meaningful ways through a free program, featuring readings, snacks, conversation and relaxation.

Schulenburg SausagefestThe 11th annual Schulenburg Sausagefest will be held on Saturday, April 11 in downtown Schulenburg from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. It’s the only festival in Texas with sausage-making contests plus homemade wine, sauerkraut and pickles.Activities will start at 11:15 a.m.

Sr. Connections: gathering place for active seniors along I-10 corridor

For over 10 years, Senior Connections has been a beloved gathering place for active seniors, branching into Weimar and Flatonia two years ago, to expand its engagement with people 55 and up, since transportation is a big challenge for some seniors.
