VVA The next meeting of Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 870, will be Wednesday, March 20 at 7 p.m. the Ammannsville KJT Hall. Food and refreshments will be provided at the meeting. VVA, AVVA and prospective members are invited to attend.

Everyone is encouraged by the museum board to visit the Schulenburg Historical Museum and learn about Schulenburg’s interesting history. All visitors between now and Saturday, April 6 are eligible to register for the gift baskets.

ACCSS to host 5K run at Sausagefest

Sausagefest is a day of fun and festivities set for Saturday, April 6 in downtown Schulenburg. For those eager to put in a few extra steps that morning and possibly earn a few extra samples of sausage or kraut, the first event will be a 5K hosted by the Alliance for College & Career Student Success.

Local Food Pantry serves 130 families in February

The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry served 130 families in February with a total of 361 individuals. The Pantry had four new clients with a total of 13 individuals. The amount of food given out was 6,838 pounds. Food donated was 4,492 pounds. The volunteer hours were 352.
