Members of the Fayette County Retired Teachers’ Association met on Monday, Jan. 8, with 18 in attendance. The fellowship time was hosted by Linda Oltmann and Joan Miertschin.

Domino tourney, wild game supper set in Hallettsville

The Hallettsville KC Hall will be the site for the 72nd Texas State Championship Domino Tournament on Sunday, Jan. 14, and the annual wild game supper on Saturday, Jan. 27. For the domino tournament on Jan. 14, registration will begin at 7 a.m. and play will begin at 9 a.m. sharp.

Round Top Family Library Chili Cookoff A chili cookoff benefitting the Round Top Family Library will be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 at noon at the Round Top Rifle Hall. There will also be music by Black Cat Choir. Tickets are $10, with children under 12 admitted free.
