The Sticker continues its series honoring Schulenburg’s state team championships with the 1995 Lady Horn golf team.

Community League amateur baseball games weren’t played this past weekend and the ones scheduled for this coming weekend have been cancelled.

In the latest change driven by the current public health situation, the Texas Outdoor Annual Hunting, Fishing and Boating Regulations will be going all-digital for the upcoming hunting and fishing license season, starting when licenses go on sale on Aug. 15.

Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Council 2902 will host the 48th Annual State K. of C. Men’s Slowpitch Softball Tournament.

Navidad Valley CattleWomen will hold their seventh annual 5K Ranch Run on Saturday, Aug. 1 in conjunction with the Schulenburg Festival. There will be 5K and one-mile options.

The Weimar Vets opened the 2020 Community League baseball season with a 17-3 victory over Giddings this past Sunday, June 14 in Giddings. Strong pitching and stellar hitting resulted in the victory.

Brayden Duarte (seated, center), the leading rusher for the Shorthorns last season with 1,050 yards after rushing for 1,113 his junior campaign, has committed to attend Texas Lutheran University in Seguin and play football for the Bulldogs. The sixth annual Chuck Brown Ford Golf Tournament was held Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7 at Weimar Golf Course.
