Lady Horns fall to Moulton, go 0-4-1 in local tourney

To start their district schedule, the Lady Horns suffered a two-run loss on the road to the one Class 1A school in 29-2A.Moulton took advantage of 14 Schulenburg errors as well as nine walks as the Lady Horns out-hit the Bobkittens 18-7. The result doesn’t count in the district standings, however.

Horns go 0-5 in first week on diamond

Following cancellations due to the weather, the Shorthorn baseball team got its season under way last week only to suffer three one-run losses in five games.Schulenburg led 3-2 in Giddings on Feb. 25 before the Buffaloes scored 12 runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Date, time for alumni baseball game changed

The Shorthorn baseball alumni game that was rescheduled for Saturday, March 8 due to inclement weather has now been moved to Friday, March 7.It will take place at the Sports Complex starting at 6:30 p.m.Afree-will donation is requested from alumni who wish to participate.
