Schulenburg High’s varsity tennis team started its 2025 season with matches against Gonzales on Thursday, Feb. 27.Competing were Emmrie Marx, Keeley Warnken, Molly Rorschach, Cheyenne Henneke, Mikayla Otto, Caden Herzik, Will Taylor, LJ Schindler, and Denim Sommer.

Boys’ golf team wins Weimar tourney

The Shorthorn golf team posteda 342 to top the field at the Weimar tournament on Monday, Feb. 24.Reid Janda had the best individual score with a 75 while teammate Brycen Schramek finished third with an 80. Other scores for the Horns were: Brant Redman,91; Van Prihoda, 96; and Jayse Janda, 104.

The Schulenburg “Black” team won the 2025 fourth-grade girls’ division playoff tournament recently with an 18-point win over Flatonia in the semifinals and an 11-point victory in the championship game.
