Extra-inning victory over Weimar gives Shorthorns inside track to fourth place

The Shorthorns never led last Tuesday at the Sports Complex until Bryce Stoever slid into home plate with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Pulling out a 6-5 win over Weimar put Schulenburg ahead of the Wildcats in District 29-2A.

Lady Horns’ post-season hopes stay alive with big win in Flatonia on Friday

With eight runs in their final two at-bats last Friday in Flatonia, the Lady Horns completed a sweep of the Lady Bulldogs in district play and improved to 3-5 in 29-2A.

SHS JVs top District 28-2A track meet, Lady Horn varsity places second

The District 28-2A Track and Field Meet was held on Thursday April 4 in Ganado. Schulenburg High School’s junior varsities won their divisions while the Lady Horn varsity placed second.

Indians down Horns in eight innings

After getting shut out for six innings, Ganado tied last Tuesday’s game at the Sports Complex and came through in the extra frame to edge the Shorthorns 3-1. The Indians started the top of the seventh with a leadoff walk and a well-placed bunt.
