After downing Brazos with epic 4th set, Lady Horns sweep Rice

To start District 23-3A play last week, the Lady Horns prevailed 3-1 over Brazos with a marathon win in the final game. They followed it up by sweeping Rice Consolidated in three sets to improve to 17-15 on the season.

Raiders ravage Shorthorn defense for 524 yards, 63 points

While putting up their best offensive numbers of the season, the Shorthorns gave up over 500 yards in a 63-27 loss to Rice Consolidated at David Husmann Memorial Stadium last Thursday.The Raiders needed only 34 snaps on offense to score nine touchdowns.

SHS cross country runners compete in Moulton meet

This past Saturday, Sept. 12, Schulenburg High School’s cross country runners competed in Moulton’s meet, held at Moulton City Park.The Shorthorns finished in first place as a team in the junior varsity boys’ division with 27 points, ahead of second-place Flatonia (29 points).
