Animal Shelter statistics

As of Sept. 22, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 1,281 for the year– 614 dogs and 667 cats in need. As of Sept. 22, the shelter had 129 animals in its care – 84 dogs and 45 cats.

CCA Meals

Combined CommunityAction’s “Meals on Wheels,” located in the Civic Center, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound. Please call 979-743-4036 two weeks in advance for the meals, which will be delivered to the homebound or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.

St. Paul’s Church seeks donations for Operation Christmas Child project

St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church is once again working with Samaritan’s Purse as a project leader for Operation Christmas Child. This year, the church invites the Schulenburg area community to participate.
