Legion donates to veterans outreach program

A donation had been made by Schulenburg American Legion Post 143 to the veterans outreach program sponsored by La Grange Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Unit 5254. Through this program, acceptable items of clothing, toiletries, food, etc.

The High Hill-Schulenburg branch of Catholic Life Insurance held its annual social on Sunday, Sept. 28 at the KC Hall In Schulenburg.A total of 157 Catholic Life members and their families enjoyed refreshments and a delicious fried chicken meal, catered by Oakridge Restaurant.

The Gardenia E. JanssenAnimal Shelter hours of operation are as follows: open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday for all normal operations. On Monday, the shelter is closed to the public but staff is on-site for animal care from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
