Fayetteville Bank donates to fire dept.

Fayetteville Bank recently donated $500 to the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department. Fayetteville Bank was represented by Steve Ulrich, vice president/ Schulenburg branch manager, in presenting the check to SVFD firefighter/ treasurer Paul Zapalac.

Animal Shelter statistics

As of June 7, total intake at the Gardenia E. Janssen Animal Shelter stood at 731 for the year – 306 dogs and 425 cats in need.As of June 1, the shelter had 135 animals in its care – 73 dogs and 62 cats.

Knights of Columbus donate to St. Rose music program

Schulenburg Knights of Columbus Council 2902 recently made a $500 donation to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic School music program.The funds will be used to update the music being learned by the students along with other musical needs at the school.St. Rose School has a choir program for grades K-3.

Combined Community Action’s “Meals on Wheels,” located in the Civic Center, serves frozen congregate meals or frozen meals to the homebound.Please call 979-743-4036 two weeks in advance for the meals, which will be delivered to the homebound or may be picked up at the center on Mondays.
