Summer Bridge educational programs set

ACCSS and BRIDGE are partnering to provide two opportunities for area students to participate in a Summer Bridge educational program.

Karstedt crowned Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen

Fayette Czech Heritage Society Queen Madelyn Karstedt was crowned the new 2024-25 CHS Miss Texas Czech-Slovak Queen on Saturday, June 29 in New Taiton.She is the daughter of John and Bonny Karstedt of La Grange.Madelyn was one of four queen contestants from across the state competing for the title.

Texas 108’s 10 and under select baseball team won the Red, White, and Blue Classic Tournament in Tomball June 2930. After going 2-0 in pool play on Saturday, Texas 108’s defeated Neartown 4-3 on Sunday and then won the championship game 7-2 over the Spring Branch Hitmen.

A project in which St. Rose of Lima Catholic School students planted a tomato garden reached its culmination in May with a partial harvest.Time was running short, with the last full day of school being Wednesday, May 22 and early dismissal on Thursday, May 23.

Schulenburg FFA, 4-H members participate in livestock judging camp

Schulenburg FFA and Schulenburg 4-H members participated in the Non-reasons Livestock Judging Camp at Texas A&M University from June 12-14. On the final day of camp, they participated in a livestock contest.
