Drought index for Fayette County at 760

According to information compiled by the Texas A&M Forest Service, Fayette County and most of the surrounding area reached the most extreme level of the Keetch-Byram Drought Index, shown above for Monday, Aug. 21. Specifically, Fayette County’s KBDI had an average of 760.
