Students in grades 6-12 received awards in the Emerging Artists Competition hosted by Arts for Rural Texas. First, second, third and honorable mention ribbons were awarded in each grade level, and an overall Best of Show winner was selected as well.

After a third straight district championship and a playoff run to the Class 2A state semifinals last year, the Lady Horns lost only two key players to graduation. Moreover, the 2023 squad has five seniors and four returners who were named all-state on various lists.
