‘Habitat’ finishes first home remodel here

Fayette County Habitat for Humanity’s first home repair project was recently completed here in Schulenburg. Volunteers spent two months at the residence working three days a week. During that time, they replaced all the siding on the house, several windows, and the water heater.

SPD makes pair of drug arrests after traffic stops

Two traffic stops by the Schulenburg Police Department last week resulted in the arrest of two individuals on drug charges. On Friday, March 24 at approximately 10:07 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the 600 block Herder Avenue for a traffic offense.

Fayette County Recycling Center Director Paul Zapalac announced last Thursday that the site next to the Precinct 4 warehouse just west of Schulenburg off of FM 2672 will be open as follows starting on April 17: • Mondays – 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; • Wednesdays – 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; • Fridays – 7 a.m.

Commissioners Court hears comments on situation at St. Mark’s

Bill would require fentanyl education The death of a Leander High School graduate from a fentanyl overdose has prompted state Rep.

Patterson made over 1,000 rosaries for the organization, but she also made rosaries in St. Rose’s colors (photo above) to be given locally at Christmas.

Barbara Patterson of Schulenburg made over a thousand rosaries for the Mission Department of Our Lady’s Rosary Makers, located in Louisville, Kentucky. Her husband, Clarence Beckley, assisted by taking the boxes of finished rosaries to be shipped and picking up supplies for her.
