Coach resigns, trustees approve replacement

The resignation of one teacher/ coach was accepted by the Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees on Friday, Dec. 16 and approval was given to hire a replacement. Personnel considerations was the only item on the agenda for the special meeting.

Traffic stop by SPD leads to drug arrest

A traffic stop by Schulenburg Police Department officers Saturday night resulted in a La Grange man being arrested for drug possession. According to the SPD report, a vehicle was pulled over in the 600 block of WestAvenue for a traffic violation at 9:40 p.m. on Dec. 17.
