The Fayette County Commissioners Court signed a proclamation designating June 24 as Fayetteville High School Baseball Championship Day in Fayette County during the meeting held on Thursday, June 24. The Fayetteville baseball team won the Class 1A state baseball championship on Thursday, June 10.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reported that his deputies, along with Schulenburg Police Department officers, attempted to serve a felony warrant in the 1100 block of August Street on Thursday, June 24 at approximately 7:45 p.m. The suspect was identified as Terrius Duncan (shown at right).

With guidance from the Catholic Daughters court in Hostyn, Court St. Rose 1597 started a prayer blanket program in Schulenburg. Blankets are made by many caring volunteers of Court St. Rose 1597. They are lap-sized, sewn with love and prayers for those who receive them.

Sponsors are being sought for the 2021-22 Miss Schulenburg Pageant, which is scheduled for Saturday, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. at the Civic Center. The sponsorship fee for the upcoming year is $200 to help defray the cost of pageant items, float upkeep, scholarships and more.
