SISD returns from break with reduction in cases

Schulenburg Girl Scout Troop 824 donated 85 pounds of non-perishable food to the Schulenburg Area Food Pantry collected through its recent food drive.

First Baptist to hold deacon ordination service

State & area unemployment rates decrease in October

Texas’ private sector added 136,300 jobs over the month and the Texas unemployment rate fell to 6.9 percent in October from 8.3 percent in September, according to the Texas Workforce Commission. The Texas unemployment rate for October 2020 is in line with the National unemployment rate of 6.

While the treats from Halloween should be long gone, one trick has lingered for Schulenburg ISD. Superintendent Duane Limbaugh told the Board of Trustees at its regular meeting Monday, Nov. 16 that the district had an “uptick” in COVID-19 cases about five days after Oct. 31.
