‘Turnaround’ plan for SISD approved by school board

The Texas Education Agency’s 2025-26 Turnaround Plan for the elementary and secondary campuses was unanimously approved by the Schulenburg ISD Board of Trustees at last week’s meeting.

“From High Hill to the NFL – The Story of Hugo Hollas” chronicles the life of a local farmboy who fulfilled his dream and the authors were on hand for a book signing sponsored by the Schulenburg Lions Club last Wednesday at the Schulenburg Public Library.

Stanzel Model Aircraft Museum hosted a “Drone Racing Day” this past Saturday, Nov. 22. The military robot dog (above) was a big hit with the youngsters and, of course, the event was highlighted by drones taking flight, including the one shown below.
