After a public hearing on the proposed total tax rate of $0.40984 per $100 of taxable value on Thursday, Sept. 11, salaries, expenses, and allowances of elected and precinct officers were approved by the Fayette County Commissioners Court.

The second annual Armed Forces Appreciation dinner and dance, hosted by area veterans organizations, took place on Saturday, Sept. 13 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in La Grange.Activities of the event kicked off at 4 p.m.

Trustees hear about issues with new track
