After meeting in executive session for about 40 minutes during last week’s meeting to deliberate about real property, the Schulenburg City Council voted unanimously in open session to direct City Administrator Tami Walker to contact the Realtor regarding 605 Upton Ave.

In an effort to avoid delays with the ongoing renovations at 535 North Main St., the Schulenburg City Council authorized City Administrator Tami Walker to contact contractors and approve expenditures at a special meeting on Monday, April 14.

A resident asked the City to consider giving up its ownership of an easement or let property owners place structures on it but aldermen opposed both.Following a 15-minute discussion on the item at Monday night’s regular meeting, the Schulenburg City Council voted unanimously to deny the request.

Top teams at 10th Annual Schulenburg Sausagefest

Even with the unseasonably cool temperature and intermittent light rain, the 10th Annual Schulenburg Sausagefest drew a large crowd to downtown on Saturday, April 5.Along with an afternoon filled with activities, music, food, and drink, 14 teams competed in the contests with well over 100 entries.
