Council sets workshop for Feb. 10 to discuss plight of City public pool

Continuing to have a public pool in Schulenburg will be the topic of a City Council workshop. At last week’s meeting, the aldermen tentatively set it for Monday, Feb. 10 at 4 p.m.Discussion will include upgrading the one in Wolters Park or constructing a new facility.

Dance club marks 90th anniversary

Schulenburg Hall was recently transformed into a patriotic venue of red, while, and blue decorations as over 200 members and guests danced and celebrated the 90th anniversary of the Swiss Alp Dance Club.The membership also enjoyed a catered meal as they do every five years after the October dance.

Weimar man arrested on Friday for drug possession, on warrant

On Friday, Nov. 29 at approximately 3:27 p.m., officers with the Schulenburg Police Department were patrolling in the 800 block of James Avenue searching for a wanted subject involved in an earlier incident when they observed the suspect in the passenger seat of a passing vehicle.
