Friends of the Weimar Public Library will host author Betsy Wagner of Columbus on Friday, Dec. 1 at Weimar United Church fellowship hall, 403 West Main, Weimar, at 11 a.m. Her discussion is titled “Islands of Truth Joined by Bridges of Logic.

The Friends of the Schulenburg Public Library celebrated the publication of by Fayette County author Elaine Thomas with a book presentation and signing on Saturday, Nov. 11. Of the 30 portraits of Fayette County residents in the new title, 13 have ties to Schulenburg.

Thanksgiving Holiday Most local businesses will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23. The City of Schulenburg and Fayette County offices will have holidays on both Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24. The Sticker will also be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 23-24.
