Literary Club has program on preserving history

The Schulenburg Literary Club met on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at noon in the Schulenburg Public Library.

Garden Club has Xeriscaping program at meeting

The John Everett Chapter, DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), for November recognized the American flag display of Kyle Hudec and family located at 211 McCormick St. in Columbus. They have both the American flag and the Texas flag displayed on their home.

Christmas Parties

LEGION & AUXILIARY American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary will hold their Christmas party on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Legion Home in Wolters Park with a social at 6 p.m. and meal and awards presentation at 7 p.m. Dress is casual with Legionnaire cap.

Vegan cooking class slated in La Grange

The public is invited to a vegan cooking class (with vegetarian tips) for a Thanksgiving meal on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Seventh-day Adventist Church Hall, 1000 East Business Highway 71, La Grange. Anyone wanting to attend is asked by RSVP by Tuesday, Nov.
