The home of David and Jean Swartz at 305 Bohlmann has been chosen as November yard of the month by the Schulenburg Garden Club. Dave gives Jean all the credit for their beautiful yard and flower beds. She has over 30 species of flowering plants, foliage plants and succulents.

On Friday, Nov. 3, 206 nonprofit and philanthropic organization representatives gathered at the Randolph Recreation Center in La Grange for the second annual South Central Texas Rural Philanthropy Day hosted by Fayette Community Foundation (FCF) and Stanzel Family Foundation (SFF).
