Stanzel Family Foundation awards grant to Colorado Co. Habitat For Humanity

The Stanzel Family Foundation continues its commitment to fostering community well-being by providing support to Colorado County Habitat for Humanity.

American Legion and Auxiliary hold monthly meetings on Sept. 3

American Legion McBride Post 143 and Auxiliary held their monthly meetings on Tuesday, Sept. 3. Commander Bob Heinrich called the meeting to order with 33 Legion and 10 Auxiliary members in attendance. Auxiliary chaplain, Linda Dieringer, read the prayer.

Children’s Soccer LeagueFBC in the ‘Burg will host a children’s soccer league, with registration set for Saturday, Sept. 28 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Schulenburg, 110 North Upton. Games will be played Tuesdays in October at 6 p.m. beginning Oct. 1.The league is open to youth ages 5-10.

DAR/SAR present flag display certificates

The John Everett Chapter DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and Robert Rankin Chapter 62 SAR (Sons of the American Revolution) presented Oak Bluff Village, located at 1513 Montezuma in Columbus, with the American flag display certificates for September.
