Fayette County Fair Royalty Court winners announced

The 97th annual Fayette County Fair kicked off on Thursday evening, Aug. 29 with the crowning of the new Royalty Court. Combined season pass and carnival ticket sales came in at $121,055 – an impressive total for just five young ladies vying for Queen and Junior Miss.

CVQG has program on repurposing old quilts

Guest speaker at the Colorado Valley Quilt Guild meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 27 was Patricia Roebuck of Lola & Viv Designs. She is an expert on “Re-Imagined Fashion.”Her presentation, “The Quilted Jacket: The History Lives On,” inspired everyone to start looking for old quilts.
