Winedale to host talk on ‘The Battle of Adobe Walls’

The Winedale Historical Center will hold a talk titled “The Battle of Adobe Walls” on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at noon via Zoom.Tammy Scarbrough, lead educator/ interpreter at the Goodnight Ranch Historic Site, located between Clarendon and Amarillo, will discuss the Battle of Adobe Walls.

The Schulenburg Garden Club’s November yard of the month is the home of Betty Klesel at 112 Foster Branch Road. The very nicely landscaped yard features a variety of evergreen and seasonal plants. Upon arrival, the circular flower bed featuring a oak tree surrounded by pansies, roses and lantanas is sure to catch one’s attention. As the eye travels to the home, the neatly arranged boxwood, ligustrums and topiaries bordered with variegated grasses complement the home. It is, indeed, a yard worth seeing!
