The Fayette County Czech Heritage Society hosted its annual Christmas party at Hanslik Hall in the Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange on Dec. 5. It was a festive event as members and guests caroled Czech Christmas songs with Jimmy Fucik accompanying them on the accordion.

New information regarding medical records access is now available as a follow-up to the closure of St. Mark’s Medical Center in La Grange on Oct. 12, 2023. Patient medical records have been safely transferred to a new custodian, American Medical Solutions Inc.

HERMANN SONS LIFE The Hermann Sons Life Lodge 14 Christmas party will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Oakridge Restaurant, with social hour at 5 p.m. and a meal at 6 p.m. Members are asked to bring a $15 gift for the raffle which supports the scholarship fund.

The first-ever City of Schulenburg retirees party was held on Thursday, Dec. 7 at Sengelmann Hall. It represented an accumulation of 371 years of service. A few retirees were missing but hopefully everyone will get to attend next year.
