The junior varsity Shorthorns improved to 4-2 on the season after a 30-0 shutout of the Flatonia Bulldogs last Thursday, Oct. 5 in Flatonia.

St. Rose falls to OLV 20-6

The St. Rose Cardinals played their first home game of the season last week and suffered a 20-6 setback against Victoria Our Lady of Victory. After a nice 14-yard return from Cal Schiffli to start the game, St. Rose got one first down on a 7-yard run from Denver Carr.

Horns grind out 10-0 Homecoming win over Hearne in defensive battle

After a shootout with 922 yards in Thorndale the previous week, Schulenburg and Hearne totaled only 458 last Friday at David Husmann Memorial Stadium. What was the same: the Shorthorns out-gained their opponents by 20 yards and notched wins.

Lady Horns improve to 3-0 in district, down 5A Victoria West

With a sweep of Louise last Tuesday, the Lady Horns stayed undefeated in District 27-2A and they improved to 24-12 on the season after a 3-1 non-district win over Class 5A Victoria West on Friday. Emmrie Marx paced Schulenburg in the two matches with 22 kills.
