FFA team places third overall in State Fair livestock judging

Schulenburg FFA members competed in the State Fair of Texas livestock judging contest at Fair Park in Dallas. The contest hosted 207 FFA and 4-H teams consisting of 685 contestants. The members judged cattle, sheep, swine, goats and answered questions over three classes.

St. Rose Home & School Association to hold gumbo dinner on Oct. 20

The St. Rose Home & School Association will hold a chicken/ sausage/okra gumbo dinner with trimmings on Friday, Oct. 20 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Schulenburg Hall.
