Local Food Pantry serves 140 families in August

The Schulenburg Area Food Pantry served 140 families in August with a total of 431 individuals. The Pantry had four new clients with eight in those families. The amount of food given out was 8,794 pounds. Food donated was 3,169 pounds.

A barbecue pit has been donated to St. James Missionary Baptist Church by Markie Boy Pitts and Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home-Mark Klesel and Bryan Klesel. Pastor Rev. Andrew E. Stafford and the congregation of St. James MBC thank them for this generous donation.
